looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to support a technical
program that delivers Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
solution in the cloud, with network, security, and O&M services
across multiple classification levels in the environment. The Linux
Systems Administrator will be responsible for proactively
developing and maintaining all Linux infrastructure technology to
maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service as well as providing Tier 2/Tier
3 support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of
the developed IT systems.Responsibilities include:
Engineering of systems
administration-related solutions for various project and
operational needs Fault finding, analysis and logging of
information for reporting of performance exceptions Proactively
monitoring system performance and capacity planning Manage,
coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on
servers, workstations, and network hardware Create and modify
scripts or applications to perform tasks Provide input on ways to
improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the
environment Collaborate with other teams and team members to
develop automation strategies and deployment processes Maintain
best practices on managing systems and services across all
environments Provides Tier 2/Tier 3 problem identification,
diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the
escalation and communication of status to internal and external
customers. Provides support for the developed system and hardware
problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Required
Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in a technical
discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a
bachelor's degree.Ten (10) years' experience as a Systems
Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and
complexity is required. IAT Level II Certification RequiredPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
