be in the center of the next chapter of transformation of a -$7B
company, with opportunity for future growth and upside by moving to
a corporate team or a line role within one of our business
segments.We have built a strong corporate center to drive
transformation, and we are looking for top performers to join the
Strategy & Transformation team. This FTI team directly supports the
CEO, FTI's Executive Committee, and other senior leaders within
FTI's corporate infrastructure teams on strategic and change
initiatives including:
- Defining the overall corporate strategy across FTI's portfolio
of businesses
- Identifying and driving organic growth opportunities within the
segments and regions
- Supporting M&A / business development activity (due
diligence, valuation, integration)
- Improving processes within internal corporate functions (e.g.,
Finance, HR, IT, Real Estate)
- Innovating the firm's world-class client service and
go-to-market practicesThe ideal candidate will:
- Serve as an inspiring model of the firm's value to the team;
influence others to behave with integrity.
- Exhibit a strong sense of ownership towards own work and the
team's; hold her/himself accountable for mistakes and learn from
them.
- Cultivate deep, continuing partnerships with internal and
external stakeholders ("clients"), who seek him/ her out for
advice, build trusted advisor relationships over time.
- Communicate honestly and directly with clients and team;
challenge established thinking; raise bold yet practical ideas with
the team and business leaders and welcome dissent.
- Demonstrate self-awareness and proactively seek opportunities
to improve self, the team and the Firm; is responsive to, and

- Understand how own and team's work relate to each other and to
the broader business context before developing actionable
recommendations; able to concurrently drill down to the details and
draw salient, big-picture implications/insights.
- Adapt to and balance workload as priorities change while
managing expectations of internal clients through frequent
communication.
- Speak with confidence, clarity and impact; use a range of
interaction styles to probe key issues and influence outcomes.
- Act with empathy and compassion; regularly offer to step-in to
help solve others' problems and spread workload; demonstrate high
emotional intelligence allowing her/him to understand interpersonal
dynamics and/or issues, offer the right solutions and build
trust.What You'll Do
- Lead project strategy for multiple major projects
simultaneously from beginning to end supporting the senior business
leader, along with providing expertise and support to other minor
initiatives the S&T team has underway.
- Drive innovative thinking on strategy development and problem
solving based on own experience and others' expertise.
- Use deep expertise in Strategy/Finance to structure approaches
to address complex projects and ambiguous problems, understand and
articulate the potential paths to solutions, and align the right
people/resources against the right work streams.
- Translate strategies into actionable plans with clear owners,
timing/milestones and deliverables.
- Manage and conduct objective analysis/research on current and
emerging market trends, firm competitors, project/staff management,
financial performance, key operating metrics, and other related
topics to inform strategic options.
- Clearly summarize gathered data and facts, develop logical and
compelling storylines and presentations, confidently
communicate/present findings to Executive Committee and to other
senior management; express own opinion supported by
data/facts.
- Develop various business scenarios and financial models based
on changing economic, regulatory and other trends; effectively
communicate financial implications to senior management.
- Understand the budgeting/forecast processes, e.g., linking with
business strategy, projecting revenue and expense from both a
top-down and bottoms-up approach, assess risks and
opportunities.
- Influence allocation of resources through budgeting,
forecasting, planning, and variance analysis in collaboration with
corporate and line functions.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including mentoring and coaching
senior and junior staff on the S&T team and beyond; proactively
manage team to deliver actionable output.
- Develop deep, trusted advisor relationships with Executive
Committee members and senior management.
- Understand how his/her efforts/projects fits into the broader
business context/strategy.
- Travel up to -20% to other FTI offices as needed.How You'll

next role.What You Will Need To SucceedBasic Qualifications
- 10+ years' of post-graduate relevant experience with project
planning, strategy planning, budgeting/forecasting, and
executive-level communication and influence.Preferred
Qualifications
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving
skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and
PowerPoint.
- Advanced degree, e.g., MBA.
- Proven ability to structure, analyze and develop options to
address complex issues using a hypothesis driven approach.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including flexibility to
work/collaborate effectively with a range of personalities.
- Familiarity with financial systems, e.g., TM1, Oracle, SAP,
Hyperion, database or other query or reporting writing tools.
- Ability to effectively work in a team under tight deadlines to
deliver quality output.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders with
common and/or conflicting interests.
